Submit Manual Trades

You can submit manual trade orders to your trading account (virtual portfolio and broker account) from Dashboard page. Manual trade is recommended only for novice users who want to practice trading for the first time. As users gain more experience, we recommend submitting Automated Trade instead of manual trade to take full advantage of Investfly.

Currently, Investfly supports submitting manual orders for following security types

• Equities (stocks and ETF)
• Options (with multi-leg support)
• Futures

Opening Trade Dialog

From the Dashboard page , Click the Trade button. The dialog is organized into 4 tabs to support various security types: STOCKS, OPTIONS, MULTI_LEG, FUTURES.

Trading Stocks

1. Open Trade dialog by following steps above
2. Click on STOCK tab if not already shown
3. Provided requested information
4. Click Submit Order

Once the order is submitted, it can either be filled immediately or scheduled. If it’s filled immediately, it will be displayed in the open positions and trade history tabs. If it's scheduled, it will appear in Pending Orders tab. You can cancel pending orders anytime if you wish.

Trading Options

1. Open Trade Dialog
2. Click on Options Tab
3. Enter stock symbol and click Get Option Chain.
4. Option Chain will be displayed below in a table.
5. Select the option you want to trade by clicking the icon in the Action column.
6. Enter Quantity, Order Type and other information.
7. Click Submit Order.

MultiLeg Orders

MultiLeg orders combine one or more options orders with zero or more equity orders. They are used to construct option trading strategies like (covered call, butterflies, spread etc).

1. Open Trade Dialog.
2. Click on MultiLeg Tab.
3. Enter Symbol and click Get Option Chain.
4. Option Chain will be displayed below in a table.
5. Change the expiry date dropdown on the top right of the table as desired.
6. Select the option you want to trade by clicking the icon in the Action column.
7. Enter Quantity, Order Type and other information.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 above to add more options leg.
9. Click on Add Equity Leg if you want to add Equity.
10. Click Submit Order

Trade Futures

Investfly supports following futures: Equity, Energy, Metals, Currency, Interest, Agriculture.

1. Open Trade Dialog.
2. Click on Futures Tab.
3. Select one of the sub-tab for Equity, Energy, Metals, Currency, Interest, Agriculture.
4. Select Future Product (e.g SP EMini Futures ES) from the dropdown
5. A table with available expiration dates will appear
6. Select one of the row by clicking SELECT
7. Enter quantity and trade type
8. Click Submit Order.
