Stock Alerts
Stock alerts notify you when specific market conditions are met, helping you stay informed about potential trading opportunities.
With Investfly's algorithmic trading platform, you can create custom alerts based on price movements, technical indicators, and other market conditions. These alerts can be delivered via email or through the platform's notification system.
Types of Stock Alerts
Investfly supports several types of stock alerts for your algorithmic trading strategies:
Price Alerts
- Price above/below a specific value
- Price change by percentage
- Price change by dollar amount
- New 52-week highs/lows
Technical Indicator Alerts
- Moving average crossovers
- RSI overbought/oversold conditions
- MACD signal line crossovers
- Bollinger Band breakouts
Volume Alerts
- Unusual volume spikes
- Volume above/below average
- On-balance volume breakouts
Custom Expression Alerts
- Create complex conditions using our expression language
- Combine multiple indicators
- Use any data available in the platform
Creating a Stock Alert
To create a new stock alert:
- Navigate to the Alerts section from the main menu
- Click on Create New Alert
- Select the stock symbol or use multiple symbols separated by commas
- Choose the alert type (price, technical, volume, custom)
- Set the specific conditions for your alert
- Configure notification settings (email, in-app, frequency)
- Click Save Alert
Managing Your Alerts
From the Alerts dashboard, you can:
- View all of your active alerts
- Edit existing alerts to modify conditions or notification settings
- Pause/Resume alerts temporarily without deleting them
- Delete alerts you no longer need
- Check Alert History to see which alerts have triggered recently
Alert Notifications
When your alert conditions are met, you'll receive notifications based on your selected preferences:
Email Notifications
Receive detailed alert information directly to your email, including:
- Stock symbol and current price
- Alert condition that was triggered
- Time of the alert
- Quick links to view the stock and take action
In-App Notifications
See alerts directly within the Investfly platform:
- Notification bell shows unread alerts
- Alert center lists all recent notifications
- Click on any alert to view the stock chart
- Option to take immediate trading action
Using Alerts with Algorithmic Trading
