Watch Lists allow you to organize and monitor the stocks you're interested in on our automated trading platform.

Creating watch lists helps you focus on specific stocks for your algorithmic trading strategies, enabling you to group them by industry, market cap, and other criteria that match your investment approach.

Creating a Watch List

To create a new watch list on our automated trading platform:

From the left menu, click on Watch List
Click on Create Watch List
Enter a name for your watch list
Click Save

Pro Tip: Create separate watch lists for different algorithmic trading strategies, such as "Growth Stocks," "Dividend Stocks," or "Momentum Opportunities."

Adding Stocks to Your Watch List

There are multiple ways to add stocks to your watch list:

Method 1: From the Watch List Page

Select the watch list you want to add stocks to
Click Add Stock
Enter the stock symbol(s) or name(s)
Select the matching stocks from the dropdown
Click Add

Method 2: From Stock Pages

Navigate to any stock detail page
Click on the star icon near the stock name
Select which watch list to add the stock to
Click Add

Viewing and Managing Your Watch Lists

Once you've created watch lists, you can:

Select a watch list from the dropdown to view its contents
Sort stocks by clicking on column headers
Customize columns by clicking the settings gear icon
Remove stocks by clicking the trash icon next to a stock
Delete a watch list by clicking "Delete List" (this doesn't affect your stock data or automated trading strategies)

Note: Deleting a watch list cannot be undone. You will need to recreate the list and add the stocks again if needed.

Watch lists include several features that can enhance your automated trading experience:

Quick Actions

Trading buttons allow you to quickly:

Buy/sell stocks directly from the watch list
Set up automated trades based on specific conditions
Create algorithmic trading strategies for watch list stocks

Data Customization

Customize the data displayed for each stock:

Choose from dozens of technical indicators
Add fundamental data like P/E ratio or dividend yield
Display custom calculations relevant to your algorithmic trading approach

Using Watch Lists with Algorithmic Trading

Watch lists can be powerful tools for your automated trading strategies:

Strategy Input: Use a watch list as input for an algorithmic trading strategy, allowing the algorithm to evaluate and trade only the stocks on that list
Scanning: Quickly scan your watch list for specific patterns or indicators that might trigger your algorithmic trading system
Performance Tracking: Monitor how stocks you're interested in are performing, even if they're not currently part of your active automated trading strategy
